Welcome to our web site
The Manitoba Blind Sports Association has been the recognized not for profit sport governing body for blind and vision impaired Manitobans since 1976. Our Mission is to encourage participation in sport at all levels of skill and ability by providing athletic and recreational programs to support the physical, mental and emotional well-being of Manitobans who are blind and/or vision impaired.
Membership is limited to the blind and vision impaired and individuals who are in a supporting role for the blind and vision impaired member. We understand that it can be challenging for people with vision impairments to become active and participate in sports. If you or someone you know is blind or vision impaired and is interested in participating in any of our programs, we encourage you to call our office at 204-925-5694. For a list of our current sport programs, visit UPCOMING EVENTS. Should you wish to get involved visit MEMBERSHIP. You can also visit us on facebook. the link is: Manitoba Blind Sports
We recently held a sport demonstration day at the University of Winnipeg showcasing some of the sports we have in our programs and others that we would introduce if there is interest. Many thanks to the media for providing coverage of this event. CKY TV also profiled one of our athletes, Hunter McLaughlin, as Sport Star of the week. See link below and fast forward it to the 34 minute mark.
